Dubai offers a captivating blend of modern luxury and traditional Arab culture, making it an exceptional holiday destination. As the second-largest emirate by area, after Abu Dhabi, it combines futuristic architecture with rich traditions. There's an abundance of experiences, activities, places of interest, and cuisine to explore in and around Dubai.

👀 Explore Beyond the Beach
Dubai is a vibrant city, so don't limit yourself to just the beach! Utilise the excellent public transport system, including the modern metro and extensive taxi services, to explore the city's sights.
🍴 A Foodie's Paradise
Dubai is a culinary haven. Indulge in a mix of Emirati dishes and international cuisine at high-end and Michelin-starred restaurants, unique dining experiences, and celebrity chef venues. Don’t miss the brunches, typically served on Fridays and Saturdays, which coincide with the UAE weekend. Options range from family-friendly to lively party atmospheres. Top tip, pre-book your restaurants!
👌🏼 Must-See Attractions
First-time visitors should not miss major landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Creek, and Dubai Museum.
🐪 Desert Adventures
Head into the desert for an exhilarating dune bashing safari, camel ride, and a Bedouin-style dinner. Some are more authentic than others, depending on your preferences.
🍴 Family-Friendly Resorts
For those visiting with children, an all-inclusive resort can offer great value. The resort I stayed at provided a dine-around package with a variety of à la carte dining options and buffets.
🎢 Family Fun
Visit Jumeirah Beach for relaxation and water sports, Aquaventure and Wadi Wadi for world class water parks, Kidzania, IMG Worlds of Adventure indoor theme park, Dubai Miricle Garden, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Dubai Parks and Resorts, home to LegoLand Dubai… this is just a fraction of what’s on offer for those who want to have fun on holiday!
🇦🇪 For a Cultural Experience:
Visit the gold souk and spice markets for a taste of traditional Dubai, watch camel racing (usually during winter months), visit Dubai Creek and take an ‘abra’ traditional wooden boat ride.
🪂 Sky Dive Dubai:
This was hands down the best travel experience I've had! The operation is incredibly professional and well-organised, with international professionals, and two drop zones offering spectacular views. If you want to skydive, Dubai is the place to do it!
💫 Exceptional Service:
The level of hospitality and service in Dubai is unparalleled. The city itself functions efficiently and is exceptionally well-planned.

With a primarily hot and dry climate, summer temperatures can exceed 40 degrees. The milder months from November to March offer a more comfortable time for outdoor activities.

With a huge amount of airlift from the UK, direct flights operate from London Heathrow with Emirates, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Qantas (as part of its London-Sydney route), and Royal Brunei. Emirates offer the most direct services with numerous options from various UK airports including Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Glasgow.
💡 Additionally, Etihad flies direct from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi, just 87 miles from Dubai, easily accessible via the E11 highway, regular bus service, and taxi.
