Barbados

So I’ve been lucky enough to visit a number of times and Barbados never fails to deliver.

Barbados is an island country in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, in the Caribbean region of the Americas, and the most easterly of the Caribbean Islands.

Whilst it is a great destination on it’s own there are plenty of ways you can enjoy a multi centre holiday with Barbados – combine with a cruise, visit neighbouring islands or spend some time in the USA then on to Barbados.

• Explore the island, there is plenty to see, Harrison’s Caves, The Plantsrion Houses, local town and rum shacks, Bridgetown the capital and the rugged East Coast.
• Choose your hotel location wisely, the west coast offers calm seas and an amazing sunset, the south coast is more lively and with the sea a little rougher.
• Swimming / snorkelling on the west coast with the turtles is a must do.
• Be adventurous and take the small flight to Union Island and enjoy a day sailing the Tobago Cays and Grenadines – one of my favourite trips ever!
• Eat local from street food to word class restaurants head out and explore the food options – you won’t be disappointed!
• Be sure to try the Rum Punch!

The best time to visit Barbados is November – April however don’t be put off travelling in the summer months, you might get a few short sharp rain storms but the prices are a lot less!
