In 2018 I attended a travel agent academy in Brazil where we learnt all about South America, met with suppliers and visited some of the must see sights in Rio de Janeiro! It really was an amazing trip but I only got a see a small amount of what this amazing destination has to offer… from the Amazon, a huge area of rainforest that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to Peruvian, Colombian and Bolivian Borders to the impressive Iguassu Falls a series of waterfalls on the borders between Argentina, Brazil & Paraguay to the wildlife haven of the Pantanal and the vibrant Rio!

Where to stay when in Rio… Ipanema Beach is a lovely area with nice bars and restaurants, of course well known copacabana beach or Santa Teresa famous for its winding narrow streets, quirky boutiques and art.

Flights to Rio de Janerio take around 11 hours and you can get a direct flight from London Heathrow with British Airways, a number of other airlines will fly indirect like I Iberia, KLM, Air France etc.
