My journey through Norway was onboard a luxury cruise ship, we sailed from Southampton and visited the towns of Bergen & Stavanger and into Geirangerfjord.

Norway has the 2nd largest coastline in the world after Canada with a length of 100,915 km including all the islands. Cruising is therefore an incredibly popular way to explore the country but not the only way!

It is also considered an excellent destination for spotting the Northern Lights. great for skiing and arctic adventures, climbing mountains and the great outdoors.

• A cruise was a great way to explore the country for the first time to whet your appetite but ensure you choose your cruise wisely as they vary considerably.
• Be prepared to explore the great outdoors to enjoy the most of what the country has to offer.
• Take lots of layers for clothes as it can get cold even in the summer months.
• It is expensive when you are there so be prepared!

• Riding a rib boat through one of the Fjords.
