Just before Christmas we went to Lapland. We got a special invitation from our elf called Vivian. The next day we went on an aeroplane and played party games. It was freezing cold and snowy when we got there. We had to wear a warm suit like a space man. There was a little house in the forest made from wood with bunk beds where we stays for 3 days. It was very warm inside.
We went on a search for Santa on a bus with some other people and met Santa’s magic elves who gave us clues to find him. At dinner time we tried some new foods like reindeer which was really nice but Charlie liked pizza best as usual.
We played games with the elves and did lots of sledging and snowball fights with the other children there. We even got to ride snowmobiles and meet the husky dogs. The best part of the trip was meeting Father Christmas as his house. We met Mrs Claus too and she gave us some of her cookies. Santa had the letters we had sent him up the chimney and he knew all about the pogo stick Leo wanted. He said that would be no good in the snow because Leo would disappear.
Before we came home we had a big party with everyone and the elves joined in with the dancing. It was the best trip ever, we loved it so much.
