Plan your days, plan and plan some more.... ensure you speak to someone that has been ( like me 4 times ) get their opinion on places to visit and gauge what's possible to do in a day, don't under estimate how long it can take to get from A to B ! Make sure you take layers of clothing to compliment the time of year you are visiting, as during the chilly winter months you will be wanting to be warm and dry but able to strip off when you are inside. I have been 4 times and still feel I have a lot to see !!! Make sure you do the Top of The Rock for the view and also if it's warm The High Line!
Everything about New York the bright lights, the noise and the architecture of this iconic city.... of course, I love Times Square at night but also finding little gems such as the Grand Central Oyster bar and restaurant located under Grand Central station to the quirky bars in SoHo and Brooklyn.
New York City is at its best from April to June and September to early November when the weather is comfortable and there are fewer crowds. Saying that I have been in February, June, September and November and all have been great its all about being prepared with your clothing.
There are numerous daily flights to New York into either JFK, Newark and La Guardia. However, the best option is JFK as it offers a selection of times and easiest for travel into Manhattan which takes approx. 40 minutes dependant on the traffic of course.
