I first visited Dubai back in 2016 and was worried before I travelled about the rules and clothing I should be wearing as it does have a stigma attached to it, but I soon realised this was totally unfounded and I fell in love with the destination. Easily accessible with flights available from the majority of airports in the UK it’s just a 7 hour flight and only a few hours time difference means no jet lag! It’s a destination that does have something for everyone and can be used as a stopover, short break or beach holiday.
Popular areas to stay are The Palm which took 5 years to build and is host to over 25 hotels and 4000 apartments, Jumeirah Beach, The Marina and Downtown but it all depends on what type of holiday you are looking for. I have been lucky enough to visit/stay in over 20 hotels but when on holiday with my family my personal favourite is to stay a little further out in an area called Jebel Ali at the JA Resort, it offers excellent facilities and a very good all-inclusive package, which offers great value considering that Dubai can at times be expensive. It is located a short car journey from Dubai Parks and Resorts which offers fun for all the family. Here you will find a selection of food outlets, shopping outlet, 3 theme parks and 1 water park.
Dubai has so much on offer and really does have something for everyone and perfect for multi -generational trips, the grand parents love the quality of the hotels, comfort and high standards.
Adventure – Theme/Water Parks, Ski Diving, Zip wires or take a trip to the desert for some fun on the dune buggies or desert safaris
History/Culture – Rich in history and fascinating culture, Take a taxi boat across the creek and visit the Souks where you will find magnificent smells from the colourful spices, textures and array of gold! Don’t forget to haggle!! visit the Dubai fort/museum.
Luxury – Home to some of the world’s most luxurious hotels offering unbelievable service.
Food – World class restaurants like Hells Kitchen, Nobu, The Burj. I can honestly say I have had the most amazing food in Dubai and nowhere else I have visited has come close on standards,
Hotels – The themes and styles of the hotels differ so much although Dubai is known for its tall buildings they aren’t all like this and some do offer the low rise with green, lush landscaped gardens, winding canals and even floating markets – it’s not all desert.
Nightlife – It’s vibrant and happening with an abundant choice of bars and nightclubs and it doesn’t stop there you can always jump on one of the Yachts to continue your party.
Shopping Malls – They have a lot more than just shops and with so many to choose from they will entertain the whole family with ski slopes, VR parks, Cinemas and Aquariums for the children
