Choose the safari that will suit your personal needs, we stayed in a small luxury tented camp where there were just 12 tents situated above a watering hole. But there are so many options to choose from you will need to chat to me and we can establish what will suit you. Take layers of clothing, comfy shoes, good sunscreen, a hat and a rucksack as the early morning starts for the sunrise game drives can sometimes be a little cooler and then by lunch time and the sun is at its highest and you are often open to getting a little sun burnt.
I won't lie I loved it all, from the small propeller plane arrival, the excitement of being in the middle of the Masai Mara with no phone reception , the sunrise hot air balloon ride we did with champagne breakfast to seeing up close with Lions and their cubs, totally mind blowing!

The climate in the Masai Mara is pleasantly warm with cool nights all year round. January - February this is the dry spell, March - May this is the long rainy season with April being the wettest month. You don't have to worry about it raining all day long, but it does rain regularly.
Flights are available from London to Nairobi where you will then switch to a smaller plane to fly on to your chosen camp taking approx. 45 minutes, this sometimes will drop off others off enroute. Travel time to Nairobi non stop from London is approx. 8 hours 45 minutes.
