Peru

In 2022 I could no longer delay my dream of Trekking the Inca Trail as the clock is ticking now heading towards the mid 50’s.

Life is short, have to live it and make those dreams come true and I did. We spent 17 days exploring Peru a country with so much to offer, we stayed in the Amazon, Trekked the Inca Trail, spent time in Lake Titicaca, explored Lima and loved our time in Cusco and The Sacred Valley

Peru was without doubt one of the most intense travel adventures I have been fortunate enough to experience, with a new ‘pinch me moment’ every day.

• Definitely travel with a local guide – ours Elias Quispe A T was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly and an all round superstar!
• Choose your tour based on your personal preferences – do you want luxury, authentic, adventure, private or small group touring – not all tours are the same.
• Be prepared for varying climates from cold to 95% humidity
• Don’t be nervous, the people in Peru are incredibly friendly and welcoming, I am hooked on South America now.
• Tag a beach stay on the end to relax and absorb all the amazing experiences you have enjoyed whilst in Peru.

• Machu Picchu was a dream come true …
• The food was incredible and very reasonable
• The traditional costume is so bright and colourful
• Cusco was one of my favourite towns in the world
• Exploring the Amazon Rainforest and seeing a tarantula and sloth in the wild
• The friendly people.

Very much depends where in the country you are visiting!
